Join us in developing and improving SALOG, our global Air & Sea Logistics IT System that supports Kuehne+Nagel's operations worldwide. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and stability of business-critical applications used across global logistics operations.
This is an automation-focused QA role, with a strong emphasis on designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions. You will work closely with developers, product owners, designers, and business stakeholders to understand complex business processes, identify risks, and build and maintain robust automated test coverage. You will join a team where quality is a shared responsibility and where automation is an essential part of the software development lifecycle. AI-driven solutions are also becoming part of our daily work – including experimentation with AI-assisted development, automation, and fine-tuning approaches to continuously improve our products and engineering processes
How you create impact
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve automated tests for a complex, mission-critical application.
- Analyze business requirements, specifications, and technical designs to identify risks and ensure testability and automation readiness.
- Translate business scenarios and acceptance criteria into clear, comprehensive, and maintainable automated tests covering functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects and improve application quality.
- Work with Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium and AssertJ within the existing test automation framework.
- Contribute to the team’s transition towards Playwright with TypeScript, helping establish modern automation practices and standards.
- Support the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable and repeatable test execution.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, designers, and business stakeholders while continuously improving test coverage, automation quality, and QA processes.
What we would like you to bring
- Professional experience in Test Automation, Quality Assurance, or Software Development, with hands-on experience building and maintaining automated tests.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Experience with Cucumber and Gherkin for behavior-driven test scenarios.
- Understanding of test automation architecture, test data, test environments, synchronization, and maintainable automation design.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into effective test scenarios.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an Agile, cross-functional team within a large and evolving application landscape.
