Junior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Sea Logistics IT team. You will help develop our global forwarding platform and grow your engineering skills in an environment that embraces AIaugmented development. 

You will learn how to write highquality code, collaborate with experienced engineers, and gradually adopt AIsupported development practices.

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of new features with guidance from senior colleagues. 
  • Write clean, maintainable code and learn to take ownership of your work. 
  • Use AI tools effectively to enhance productivity in development, testing and debugging. 
  • Participate in pair/mob programming and team discussions. 
  • Continuously develop your engineering skills and understanding of Sea Logistics domain. 

What we would like you to bring

  • Engineering Foundation: Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) or relevant practical experience.
  • Core Skills: Solid understanding of Java and object‑oriented programming.
  • Frontend (Nice to Have): Basic knowledge of Angular or motivation to learn it.
  • AI Curiosity: Strong interest in AI‑augmented development and willingness to learn modern workflows.
  • Technical Stack: Java, Spring, Hibernate, testing frameworks (JUnit, Cucumber), relational databases, build/automation tools (Maven, Git, Jenkins). Experience with Docker is a plus.
  • Agile Mindset: Openness to collaboration, communication, and iterative development.
  • Language: Fluent written and spoken English.
