The Warehouse Lead has general responsibility for coordinating and leading assigned warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under the direction of a Warehouse Supervisor or Operations Manager, the Warehouse Lead is responsible for directing activities in a manner consistent with established goals and company guidelines. This is an onsite job only, working a schedule as follows: Monday- Friday from 2:00PM- 10:30PM, located in Salt Lake City, UT. Pay is $24.50/hr.
How you create impact
- Direct daily warehouse activities within the assigned department.
- Operate material handling equipment as needed.
- Make recommendations to the Warehouse Supervisor on processes to improve operations.
- Interact with Warehouse Supervisor to establish goals.
- Direct the activities of the warehouse personnel to achieve established objectives.
- Assist in developing processes to ensure the efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse equipment.
- Assist in the implementation of processes to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property.
- Oversee the warehouse housekeeping program.
- Ensure current, accurate inventory control and customer orders are picked and shipped timely manner.
- Adhere to Kuehne + Nagel’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Program policies and procedures.
What we would like you to bring
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment and 1 year in a lead/supervisory role
- Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Basic computer and math skills
- Leadership experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Experience with personal computers and materials handling equipment
- Strong customer orientation and problem solving skills.
- Ability to develop effective relationships and provide leadership
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal
- Establish priorities and capable of multi-tasking
- Possess professional business demeanor
- Proficient in use of personal computers and materials handling equipment
- Praiseworthy history of professionalism and leadership.
