The Warehouse Lead has general responsibility for coordinating and leading assigned warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under the direction of a Warehouse Supervisor or Operations Manager, the Warehouse Lead is responsible for directing activities in a manner consistent with established goals and company guidelines. This is an onsite job only, working a schedule as follows: Monday- Friday from 2:00PM- 10:30PM, located in Salt Lake City, UT. Pay is $24.50/hr.

How you create impact

  • Direct daily warehouse activities within the assigned department.
  • Operate material handling equipment as needed.
  • Make recommendations to the Warehouse Supervisor on processes to improve operations.
  • Interact with Warehouse Supervisor to establish goals.
  • Direct the activities of the warehouse personnel to achieve established objectives.
  • Assist in developing processes to ensure the efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse equipment.
  • Assist in the implementation of processes to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property.
  • Oversee the warehouse housekeeping program.
  • Ensure current, accurate inventory control and customer orders are picked and shipped timely manner.
  • Adhere to Kuehne + Nagel’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Program policies and procedures.

What we would like you to bring

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment and 1 year in a lead/supervisory role
  • Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Experience with personal computers and materials handling equipment
  • Strong customer orientation and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships and provide leadership
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  • Establish priorities and capable of multi-tasking
  • Possess professional business demeanor
  • Proficient in use of personal computers and materials handling equipment
  • Praiseworthy history of professionalism and leadership.
