Following a recent internal promotion, we are now inviting applications for the position of Security Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to play a key role in safeguarding our warehouse operations and ensuring the security of our physical stock across the site.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and working closely with the wider Security Support Team, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the day to day management of all security related activities within the warehouse environment. You will be responsible for overseeing security processes, maintaining robust controls, and ensuring that all relevant standards, policies, and procedures are consistently implemented and adhered to.
The Security Manager will lead investigations into security incidents, identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen site security. You will work collaboratively with operational teams to promote a strong security culture, ensuring colleagues understand and follow established procedures designed to protect our people, assets, and customers' goods.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain security would be highly advantageous, alongside a proactive approach to problem solving and risk management.

How you create impact
- Manage and monitor security processes and procedures to ensure customer and legal security codes, protocols and standards are in place
- Ensure the storage and movement of project related assets are maintained in accordance with classified storage and movement policies
- Maintain and protect the integrity, availability and confidentially of customer assets by providing security co-ordination and supervision
- Undertake QSHE Investigations as required for safety compliance including root cause analysis, trend tracking and improvement plans.
- Provide daily tactical direction, coordination, and guidance on all areas of protective security to the project.
- Report any security incidents and manage response

- Manage staff training along with conducting line manage briefs
- Coach and mentor staff
- Monitor continuous improvement
What we would like you to bring
- Warehouse systems experience including storage, distribution of classified security principles and practices
- Understanding of UK HMG/Civil service policies and procedures
- Experience working within a confidential and security conscious environment (Police, Military, civil service)
- Experience in using QA audit regimes to measure and monitor compliance to security and operational WMS standards
- Leadership, financial and strategic management experience coupled with commercial awareness
- Problem solving along with analytical skills
