How you create impact

As the Warehouse Consolidator Associate at Kuehne+Nagel you wil be responsible for optimizing storage space, organizing inventory, and handling waste-in/waste-out operations within a distribution center. This role involves managing materials, typically by consolidating similar products or recycling materials to maximize space efficiency, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory.

 

  • Maximize space efficiency by rearranging, organizing, and consolidating products or materials.
  • Handle cardboard boxes and other materials, particularly in waste-in/waste-out operations, to prepare them for disposal or recycling.
  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy by verifying, sorting, and scanning materials.
  • Assist with picking and staging outbound shipments to meet quality and productivity standards.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines (OSHA, MSDS), maintain a clean, orderly work area, and ensure the security of the warehouse.
  • Utilize material handling equipment (MHE) to move, load, and unload materials. 
  • Ability to operate tools for role such as RF Scanner and Hip Printer.
  • Ensure stored location inventory and outbound deliveries are accurate and free of damage.
  • Ability to palletize and shrink-wrap.
  • Comfortable with walking and standing up to 8 hours per day during processing hours.
  • May be required to stack pallets and lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
  • Consolidate orders by customer, carrier, and ship date
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and documentation for accuracy
  • Ensure items are properly packaged, labeled, and palletized
  • Confirm special handling requirements (e.g., priority, AOG, hazardous materials)
  • Review ship-by dates and prioritize urgent shipments
  • Communicate discrepancies or shortages to supervisors and team members
  • Assist in other departments on a business need basis.
  • Other duties may be assigned due to business need.

 

What we would like you to bring

  • Minimum Education: High School, High School Equivalent
  • Proven basic math skills at the high school level.
  • 1+ years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Must work 3rd shift: Tuesday - Saturday from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
  • Schedule flexibility - Ability to work weekends and overtime.
  • Proficiency with RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • SAP and MS (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook) experience is preferred but not required.
  • Employees will be expected to follow procedures introduced via on-the-job training.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature control warehouse setting.
  • Fluent in English.
