As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. This role involves duties such as sweeping floors, removing debris, cleaning common areas, performing minor equipment repairs, and reporting significant maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel. Additionally, team members may manage inventory organization, enforce safety protocols, and support general warehouse operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. The work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am, with weekly compensation at $22.49 per hour plus shift differential.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining common areas: Keeping areas tidy and organized
  • Reporting issues: Notifying maintenance of issues or safety hazards
  • Following procedures: Adhering to cleaning procedures and safety protocols
  • Collaborating with others: Working with other staff members to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintaining inventory: Keeping track of cleaning supplies and notifying management when they are low
  • Light repairs: Performing basic repairs, such as fixing broken equipment or repairing drywall
  • Emergency work: Completing emergency work orders

 

What we would like you to bring

Skills and Experiences

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 1 year of recent experience in a warehousing or distribution environment 
  • 1 year forklift experience
  • Can lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Can walk or stand for extended periods of time while wearing steel toe or composite toe shoes in a non-climate controlled environment 
  • Must be a US Citizen
