In this role, you will:

  • Monitor shipment milestones and follow up on delays, holds, deviations, or missing information.
  • Support shipment documentation, including arrival notices, delivery orders, shipment instructions, and related import documentation.
  • Communicate with Customer Care, gateways, warehouses, customs partners, carriers, truckers, vendors, and other operational teams.
  • Help ensure files, shipment details, system updates, and customer communications are accurate and timely.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve shipment exceptions and keep customers informed.
  • Support customer-specific account activity while adapting to shifting volume, coverage needs, and operational priorities.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the urgency of airfreight and can stay organized in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment. You will need to manage assigned work independently, communicate clearly, and jump in where needed as the Torrance team continues to support growing customer volume.

What we would like you to bring

  • We are looking for someone with direct airfreight or freight forwarding experience who can step into a hands-on operational role and support customer-specific air import activity.

  •

    You should bring:

    • Experience in airfreight, air import operations, freight forwarding, or international logistics.
    • Hands-on experience coordinating air shipments, monitoring milestones, and following up from arrival through delivery.
    • Understanding of airfreight terminology, shipment flow, routing, documentation, carrier coordination, and operational follow-up.
    • Experience working with airfreight documentation such as MAWB, HAWB, arrival notices, delivery orders, shipment instructions, or related import documentation.
    • Experience communicating with customers, internal teams, gateways, warehouses, customs brokers, carriers, truckers, vendors, and other operational partners.
    • Ability to identify, communicate, and help resolve shipment exceptions, delays, holds, missing documentation, recovery issues, or delivery concerns.
    • Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow-through.
    • Ability to manage assigned accounts independently while keeping supervisors, managers, and team members updated.
    • Comfort working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive air logistics environment where priorities can shift quickly.
    • Flexibility to support different accounts or coverage needs as business volume changes.
    • A collaborative, service-minded approach with the ability to work under pressure and maintain clear communication.
    • Openness to schedule flexibility, including potential overtime, weekend coverage, or adjusted start times as needed.
