You take end-to-end ownership—from discovery, process analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment and continuous improvement.  

 In addition, you act as an enabler for business and functional units by helping non-technical stakeholders understand automation opportunities, make informed decisions and realize measurable business value. 

Success is measured by the quality, reliability, adoption and business impact of the solutions delivered, as well as your ability to build trusted relationships across business and IT. 

Your tasks and responsibilities  

• Act as a trusted technology and automation consultant for business leaders and senior management. 

• Identify, assess and prioritise automation opportunities together with business and functional units. 

• Facilitate discovery workshops and translate business needs into clear requirements, solution concepts, roadmaps and value cases. 

• Explain technical capabilities, constraints, risks and architectural decisions in clear business language to non-IT audiences. 

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain enterprise-ready solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps, Power Automate and Copilot Studio. 

• Extend Power Platform solutions with Microsoft Azure services, APIs, custom connectors and professional-code components where appropriate. 

• Build robust integrations with Microsoft 365, Dataverse, SharePoint, Teams, enterprise applications and approved data sources.

• Apply sound software engineering practices, including modular design, source control, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring and technical documentation.

• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, information security, data protection, governance and application lifecycle management requirements. 

• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, decision papers, demonstrations and management updates for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Take ownership of the complete solution lifecycle, including production support, performance monitoring, incident analysis and continuous optimisation.

• Collaborate effectively with product teams, architects, business analysts, security teams, platform administrators and citizen developers across a global organisation. 

• Coach business teams and citizen developers on solution design, platform capabilities, development standards and responsible automation practices.

• Contribute reusable components, patterns, standards and best practices to strengthen the organisation’s Power Platform and automation capabilities.

• Evaluate new Microsoft technologies and recommend their use based on business value, technical fit, security and maintainability. 
   

  Your skills and experience  

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Informatics or a comparable discipline; equivalent professional experience is also welcome. 

  • Several years of professional experience in software engineering, solution development or enterprise automation. 

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Copilot Studio. 

  • Experience extending low-code solutions through Azure services, REST APIs, custom connectors, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, .NET, Power Fx or comparable technologies. 

  • Sound knowledge of software architecture, integration patterns, data modelling, security concepts and application lifecycle management. 

  • Practical experience with source control, automated testing and CI/CD, for example using Git and Azure DevOps or GitHub.

  • Proven consulting experience in analysing complex business challenges and advising senior management or executive-level stakeholders.

  • Ability to connect business strategy, process improvement and technology, and to translate findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills, with confidence in leading workshops and management discussions.

  • Excellent analytical, structured problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly and convincingly to non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.

  • Experience working in global, cross-functional and agile teams.

  • Strong ownership mentality, customer orientation and ability to manage several priorities independently.

  • Knowledge of Power Platform governance, security, environment strategy, licensing and Centre of Excellence practices is a strong advantage.

  • Microsoft Power Platform or Azure certifications are an advantage.

  • Experience in logistics, supply chain management or another process-intensive enterprise environment is an advantage.

  • Experience with process mining, RPA, AI-enabled automation, OCR or document-processing technologies is an advantage.
