How you create impact
- Plan, coordinate, and execute bulk vessel operations, including voyage scheduling, port rotations, and cargo allocation, ensuring optimal vessel utilisation and operational efficiency.
- Oversee bulk cargo handling activities, ensuring accurate tracking of quantities, weights, and discharge performance in accordance with operational and contractual requirements. Manage port calls and discharge operations to secure the timely and efficient delivery of raw materials to designated production facilities.
- Act as the primary operational interface between the customer and Kuehne + Nagel, ensuring alignment across planning, execution, and performance objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor by providing expertise in multimodal transport solutions to optimise routing, cost efficiency, and service reliability.
- Coordinate and manage communication between vessels, terminals, surveyors, carriers, and customer stakeholders during live operations, ensuring seamless information flow and effective issue resolution.
- Maintain real-time updates and full operational visibility across internal systems, including Fleet Manager and related platforms. Monitor operational performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively identifying and implementing improvements in vessel utilisation, port efficiency, and overall service delivery.
- Organise and manage customer transport and multimodal logistics operations in line with customer requirements, ensuring a high level of service quality across both domestic and international flows. Ensure accurate execution of transport assignments, including profitability in line with contractual agreements, correct invoicing, and end-to-end shipment monitoring.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers through status meetings and ongoing dialogue, ensuring transparency and consistently high levels of customer satisfaction.
What we would like you to bring
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Project Logistics or Customer Service
- Education in a relevant field is advantageous
- Interest and experience in digital tools and platforms with the ability to adapt and quickly learn new systems and processes.
- Ability to find solutions where others see problems
- Collaborative and open personality to bring teams together and provide customer excellence.
- Structured and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently but also succeed together with your colleagues
