National Contract Logistics Manager

As National Director of Contract Logistics, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team and an influential strategic partner in shaping the future of our business. You will lead our national warehousing, distribution, and value‑added logistics operations, drive commercial growth, and champion excellence in service, safety, engagement, and sustainability.

This role carries full accountability for operational performance, market expansion, customer satisfaction, financial delivery, and alignment with corporate strategy. You will also serve on the National Management Board, contributing directly to the governance, cultural leadership, and strategic direction of the company.

How you create impact

  • Lead national commercial strategy for warehousing & distribution, driving revenue, margin optimisation, and long‑term growth through strong customer relationships and competitive value propositions.
  • Oversee operational performance nationwide, implementing standardised processes, continuous improvement, and effective capacity, fleet, and infrastructure planning.
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by governing service performance, acting as executive sponsor to key accounts, and resolving escalations proactively.
  • Provide strong people leadership, developing high‑performing teams, driving engagement, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety.
  • Hold ultimate responsibility for Health, Safety & Compliance, ensuring zero‑harm culture, regulatory adherence, and robust audits, reporting, and training frameworks.
  • Lead national sustainability and ESG strategy, driving carbon reduction, energy efficiency, waste minimisation, and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Own financial and strategic performance, including budgeting, productivity improvements, cost optimisation, due diligence, and M&A support.
  • Contribute as a Senior Management Board member, shaping corporate strategy, governance, cross‑functional priorities, and long‑term organisational development.

What we would like you to bring

  • Minimum 10+ years’ leadership experience in multi‑site warehousing, distribution, or 3PL/4PL operations.
  • Demonstrated commercial success in business development and contract negotiation.
  • Strong track record of operational, safety, and service excellence.
  • Experience leading large teams in a fast‑moving, customer‑driven environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with full P\&L management experience.
  • Exceptional leadership capability and ability to influence at executive level.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with outstanding communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Deep knowledge of logistics automation, digital tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.
