The Hub Specialist will support Operations in Sorong, acting as a key operational anchor for inbound, outbound, and inventory activities within the hub.
How you create impact
- Manage and execute end-to-end inbound, outbound, and inventory control for the Sorong project hub.
- Oversee daily hub activities including:
- Cargo receiving
- Yard operations (including breakbulk cargo in the junk yard)
- Documentation flow
- Storage planning and handling
- Ensure vendor performance meets operational and safety expectations.
- Support cross-dock operations and ensure smooth cargo flow through the hub.
- Monitor vessel-related activity,
- Maintain real-time updates for cargo status, stock levels, and operational reports.
- Verify vendor documentation, completion of checklists, and timely submission of required records.
- Ensure all hub processes comply with quality standards.
- Serve as a key liaison between operations, vendors, trucking partners, and internal customers.
- Represent professionally onsite, maintaining strong oversight of vendor performance and behavior.
- Work closely with internal teams on planning, scheduling, service expectations, and performance updates.
What we would like you to bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Marine Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Experience Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in:
- Shorebase or hub operations
- Oil & Gas warehousing
- Vendor/contractor supervision
- Marine logistics support
- Experience handling Oil & Gas logistics is mandatory.
- Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience in warehousing or yard operations, particularly in O&G environments.
- Strong command of logistics systems
- Solid understanding of cargo documentation, hub processes, and material handling workflow.
- Personal Attributes
- Able to maintain authority in vendor-dominant environments
- Confident, assertive, and capable of influencing multiple stakeholders.
- Highly resilient, independent, and able to work under pressure in a remote environment.
- Strong communication and coordination skills across vendors, internal ops, and clients.
