Somewhere in Asia Pacific right now, a chip shipment is racing a production deadline and a data centre build is waiting on one critical component. Behind each of those shipments is a supply chain with no room for error.

At Kuehne+Nagel, our Air Logistics team keeps these moments moving. Cloud and Semiconductor is one of our most exciting and demanding sectors, and we’re looking for someone to take it further across the region.

The role

You will be the regional face of our global Cloud & Semiconductor strategy, working with the Global Air Logistics Semicon & Cloud Product Manager. Your mission is to grow a business that depends heavily on a few large customers, and to open doors to new ones.

You will spend about half your time growing the customers we already serve, finding whitespace and cross-selling the right Air Logistics solutions. The other half goes to winning new customers and guiding them from first conversation through onboarding to a stable, running operation. You’ll see an idea become reality.

You’ll be the connector in the middle, bringing sales, operations, product innovation, technical experts and country teams together around the customer’s challenge. Think “spider in the web”.

Your days might include

• Turning global priorities into regional plans for customers, countries and capabilities
• Qualifying and pursuing new Cloud & Semiconductor opportunities
• Designing creative logistics concepts for highly time-critical supply chains
• Working with KAM Tech, Product Innovation and Technical Leads to take innovations from feasibility to implementation
• Coaching and supporting country development teams, including performance reviews and hiring decisions
• Sharing market insight and best practice so colleagues across the region can win more
  
  

What you bring

• 10+ years in sales or business development, ideally in time-critical Cloud, Semiconductor, Automotive or High-Tech environments
• Strong practical experience in Air Logistics or freight forwarding
• A record of winning new customers and supporting onboarding and implementation
• Technical curiosity to understand Cloud and Semiconductor supply chains and their dependencies
• Commercial sharpness in qualifying opportunities, building value propositions and managing a pipeline
• The ability to lead through influence across countries, functions and management levels
• Fluent English; a second regional language is a plus
• A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience); a Master’s or MBA is an advantage
