We are looking for a highly motivated Road Logistics Operations Specialist to join us in Shannon. The role requires a team player to become a key member of the Road Logistics Team. You will work within the team, but also on your own initiative, communications and solutions need to be provided in a timely, efficient manner to end customers.
How you create impact
- Day to day operations in a busy office environment to include dealing with customers, customs clearance, billing, status updates and any additional reports and administration duties
- Trailer Planning, transport and distribution within Ireland and Europe
- Be aware of the importance of following Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for Pharma products and following all the SOPs concerned with the products
- Delivery, collection scheduling and dealing with carriers, hauliers and third parties
- Build and develop good relationships with both existing and potential customers to ensure business retention and growth
- Liaise with UK and EU partners to ensure the department is proactive in providing a quality operational performance
- Develop in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the role to ensure full ownership
- Deal with all customer phone sales and customer queries
What we would like you to bring
- Experience in Road Logistics with strong customer‑service skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to escalate internally in a correct manner.
- Strong written communication skills are crucial
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
