As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. How you create impact

This position will provide consistent volume forecasts + operations planning output to operation teams and provide consistently outstanding levels of customer service by completing all required tasks effectively and efficiently and therefore ensuring that all supply chain process are seamless. 
Your Responsibilities Record and maintain daily reports Validate and store shipping documents. 

• Process requests for transport according to customer requirements (inbound and outbound, across all modes); 
• Secure required transport equipment, set up pickup/delivery appointments, check transport related documentation; 
• Provide professional customer service to our clients, via phone and email; 
• Manage communication with shipping and receiving points and carriers in relation to managed transport moves; 
• Monitor shipment statuses and act upon any observed deviations; 
• Report escalated matters in timely manner to line management; 
• Support implementation of new processes by providing feedback and testing new solutions. 

What we would like you to bring

• To be successful to this role, you should have 2 years relevant customer service/operations experience in sea-freight or air-freight business,4PL background is a big plus.
• Strong communication skills with very good business manners to stakeholders / customers
• Fluent in English and Japanese
