In this IT role, you will manage, develop, and support the technology infrastructure that powers Kuehne+Nagel’s global systems and operations. You are responsible for making sure the hardware, software, and network – if applicable - that make up the IT solution, function to gether with appropriate performance and security. Therefore, you will focus on the entire system, not just a single piece of it in isola tion.
How you create impact
- Collaborate with customers, IT colleagues and other stake holders to evaluate and define integration needs and develop and present viable solution options.
- Design, implement, test and deploy the integration solutions.
- Setup and troubleshoot technical communication and connec tivity with customers.
- Assist with preparation and translation of logical mapping in structions into working solution.
- Ensure integration solution is developed in a way that com plies with internal standards, methodologies and practices.
- Implement maintenance and change requests.
- Provide technical consulting support on projects or system issues.
- Other one-time tasks assigned by Manager.
What we would like you to bring
- Detailed know-how of computer hardware, software, and net working.
- Focused attitude to work with a strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language.
- Understanding of the Linux environment.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with different countries, cultures, clients (internal and external) and other engineers.
- Ability to proactively analyse problems and provide practical solutions.
- Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience in logistics-/ transport business is preferred.
