As part of our dynamic Accounts Payable Officer (APO) team, you will contribute to continuous process improvement, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency in our services.
In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end finance process, managing the full creditor workflow. Your responsibilities will include tracking invoices and credit notes, monitoring payment statuses and due dates, and taking necessary actions to resolve any discrepancies.
Beyond finance operations, you will collaborate closely with business units and operational teams, assisting them in tracking and resolving disputes, monitoring non-confirmed invoices, and ensuring transparency in financial processes. Additionally, you will work alongside colleagues in Standard Finance teams, including Indexing, Accounts Opening, and Payment, to streamline workflows and maintain accuracy.
How you create impact
- Ensure full dedication and cooperation with colleagues regarding the invoice payment process to ensure timely and accurate transactions
- Manage direct communication with suppliers and colleagues across the EUR region regarding creditor account management
- Handle payment preparations and executions, including both urgent and scheduled payments
- Send overdue item reminders to local operations, ensuring unacknowledged invoices and disputes are addressed promptly
- Maintain and monitor the parked items list and take corrective actions as needed
- Verify and process reversals for incorrectly processed items to maintain financial accuracy
- Analyze and resolve advanced payments and short payments efficiently
- Process payments outside the system through bank transactions when necessary
- Manage creditor accounts, including handling creditors in debit, account clean-ups, and Supply Chain Finance transactions
What we would like you to bring
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant Finance/Accounting experience in a multinational organization
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Economics, Business Administration
- Fluent English (written and spoken); knowledge of German is an advantage
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and financial systems
- Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to think outside the box, make decisions independently, and support team members effectively
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
