As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. How you create impact
Your will be responsible for leading, directing + continuously optimizing your field sales team to deliver customer excellence + sustainable growth across your scope of responsibility while also closing profitable customer deals.
You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives:
- To own, monitor + drive all sales activities of the field + inside sales organization.
- To focus on customer facing activities + be actively involved in the generation of sustainable new business opportunities with a clear focus on SME.
- To align the sales efforts with customer care managers, pricing + business development teams, including pricing decisions.
- To monitor competitor activity by gathering+ communicating current information on pricing + products.
- To report customer complaints to the customer care location (CCL) team + support resolution as required.
- To align with the CCL colleagues when onboarding new customers.
- To maintain + update the most relevant customer information in internal systems.
- To regularly review customer portfolios with the CCL managers + teams.
- To focus on customer engagement, satisfaction, retention + reactivation through high levels of service quality in close collaboration with the CCLs.
What we would like you to bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Import/Export, Logistics, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience in Freight Forwarding, Sea Logistics exposure is required.
- Solid knowledge of foreign trade, import/export processes, customs regulations.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets with a strong customer-focused mindset.
- Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, time management skills.
- Well-organized, disciplined, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good command of English.
- An open mindset and ability to learn quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, support, and guide team members to achieve individual and team targets.
