As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. When you are in Sea Logistics Operational Care- Export, you are responsible for the operational execution of the shipments handed over by the Customer Care Teams. You always work in partnership with the Customer Care Team which have the same goal: to deliver a great customer experience.
How you create impact
- To create/complete shipment details in our internal data management system (carrier/vessel, item description etc.)
- To arrange pick-ups and deliveries in coordination with the Customer Care Team
- To create files for consolidation containers (Master/Single)
- To immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies to supervisor, manager, divisional manager or branch manager
- To monitor the operational performance of carriers and other vendors and escalate/create awareness if performance and commitments are not being delivered - initiate and resolve any rate discrepancies
- To acknowledge files/to prepare shipment files for import shipment handling
- To manage GP planning
- To check and complete import and export documentation
- To organize cargo release and customs clearance
- To ensure profit maximization
- To check incoming invoices, create sales invoices and manage FSL
- To review and ensure alignment of shipping instructions vs. customer promise including clarification of any deviations/conflicts taking country regulations, export compliance and rate and routing information into consideration
- To work with the CCL on account implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from Sales to Operations

- Experience in freight forwarding, ideally within Sea Logistics
- Advanced expertise in customer management, ensuring engagement and satisfaction throughout the customer lifecycle
- Highly customer-oriented mindset, focused on delivering solutions that meet changing needs
- Advanced decision making and problem-solving skills
- First experience in financial acumen and decision-making
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively to different stakeholders
- Strong collaboration skills and team-oriented mindset

- Openness to change and continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes and customer satisfaction
- Fluent in local language and advanced English proficiency (written and verbal)
