Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist

Serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring timely communication, accurate information flow, and effective coordination with internal and overseas stakeholders. The position requires strong customer focus, attention to detail, and the ability to proactively manage customer expectations across international trade lanes. 

How you create impact

  • Act as the main contact person for assigned customers, ensuring consistent and professional communication.
  • Proactively update customers on shipment status, changes, and potential issues.
  • Conduct regular customer engagement sessions, including scheduled meetings and performance discussions.
  • Handle customer inquiries, requests, and escalations in a timely and structured manner.
  • Coordinate closely with internal operations teams, shippers, and overseas offices to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Monitor shipment progress and ensure accuracy of information shared with customers.
  • Ensure all customer-related instructions are clearly communicated and properly followed up internally.
  • Support both export and import activities across multiple trade lanes.
  • Ensure high accuracy in shipment-related communication and documentation.
  • Monitor shipment milestones and follow through until completion.
  • Identify service gaps or recurring issues and escalate appropriately for resolution.
  • Maintain clear and organized records of customer communication and actions taken.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across operations, customer care, and overseas teams.
  • Coordinate with external parties such as shippers and partners to support customer requirements.

What we would like you to bring

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Sea Logistics Import & Export or freight forwarding.
  • Background from freight forwarding or logistics is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong customer communication and relationship management skills.
  • Confident in managing direct customer interactions and discussions.
  • High attention to detail with strong follow-up discipline.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable coordinating with overseas offices and international customers.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate customer needs.

Language & Tools

  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Basic system proficiency required; Basic Excel skills.
