How you create impact

The Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional support to customers by providing accurate information, handling inquiries, and resolving issues with professionalism and efficiency. You will as a key partner to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a smooth and positive customer experience. In this role, you will also manage a personal portfolio of house accounts as the designated account owner, building strong relationships, driving engagement, and ensuring each customer receives consistent, high‑quality service.

 

  • Deliver strong customer engagement, satisfaction, retention, and reactivation in partnership with Field Sales and the Operational Care Center (OCC).
  • Build and maintain solid operational relationships with customer contacts through daily communication, proactive guidance, and regular visits.
  • Ensure all existing customers receive consistent outreach and that all email interactions are handled as KN Service Moments.
  • Log all customer interactions accurately in the CRM system (CoreLog).
  • Achieve financial targets and support strategic business objectives.
  • Provide timely pricing, manage end‑to‑end spot quotes, and ensure all rebates are captured in SeaQuote.
  • Support customers in increasing automation by leveraging the eTouch Automation dashboard in collaboration with the OCC.
  • Maintain strong proficiency in KN applications and eTouch tools to confidently promote and support their use with customers.
  • Complete Customer Profiles (CP), Business Profiles, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) following initial customer meetings.
  • Monitor exceptions through the CCL Dashboard and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Track customer profitability and maximize Gross Profit (GP) at the account level.
  • Identify financial risks and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies to protect customer profitability.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging, follow up with customers, and help minimize exposure to bad debt.

What we would like you to bring

  • 2+ years of logistics experience, preferably in seafreight, with working knowledge of Incoterms
  • Systems‑oriented approach with the ability to work effectively within structured, interconnected processes
  • Strong collaboration skills and a team‑focused mindset
  • Sound judgment and problem‑solving abilities in operational environments
  • Comfort with financial concepts and using data to inform decisions
  • Clear, effective communication skills for engaging diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Customer‑focused mindset with experience supporting service quality and satisfaction
  • Adaptability in changing environments and willingness to support continuous improvement
  • Proactive, solutions‑driven approach to enhancing operational and customer outcomes

The hourly wage for this position is between $31.25-$32.21.  Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
