As a Senior Travel Agent at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in delivering professional travel services for employees, senior leaders, and executive stakeholders across our global organization. You will manage complex business travel arrangements, provide expert travel advice, and ensure a seamless travel experience while balancing cost efficiency, traveler safety, and policy compliance. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external travel partners, you will help enable successful business operations across our global network.
How you create impact
- Coordinate domestic and international business travel, including flights, hotels, rail travel, transfers, and visa requirements.
- Manage complex travel arrangements for senior leaders, board members, and VIP travelers.
- Provide expert travel advice and identify the most suitable and cost-effective travel solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Kuehne+Nagel's Global Travel Policy and approval processes.
- Manage travel disruptions, cancellations, emergencies, and last-minute itinerary changes.
- Liaise with travel management companies, airlines, hotels, and other travel suppliers to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Monitor travel requests, bookings, and ticketing while maintaining accurate traveler profiles and documentation.
- Analyze travel data and reporting, support travel-related projects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What we would like you to bring
- Several years of experience in corporate travel management, business travel operations, or a similar travel services role.
- Strong knowledge of airline fares, ticketing, hotel programs, and global travel processes.
- Proven experience supporting senior executives and managing complex international itineraries.
- Experience working with travel booking systems, Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and travel reporting tools.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fluent in German and English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
