As the Contract Logistics Warehouse Operations Manager, this person will direct daily activities of the warehouse operations, including labor scheduling, management, and the proper use of space, equipment, and workforce. Main responsibilities include staffing, warehouse operations, implementation of safety, security, housekeeping, and sanitation programs, and customer service. Support the development and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations and use of the facility. The individual will report to the Contract Logistics Site Manager, from Monday to Friday, first shift starting at 8am-5:30pm. Located in San Antonio, TX.

How you create impact

  • Ensure new hires are thoroughly trained, and ongoing training is provided to all employees to ensure their continued success
  • Support leadership and Human Resources to ensure DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs are embraced and valued
  • Oversee associates, manage work schedules, and ensure attendance is accurately recorded
  • Maintain employee awareness and compliance with QSHE (Quality, Safety & Health, Environment)
  • Provide reporting and take part in weekly and monthly business reviews
  • Analyze process improvements and rollout of the agreed next steps
  • Establishes a clear communication channel between our internal and external stakeholders
  • Make recommendations to improve operations using continuous improvement techniques, drive cost-saving initiatives, and track savings
  • Participate in or lead BRMs (Business Review Meetings) and QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews); provide and present KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to customer and business stakeholders
  • Meet with customer and key customer contacts to achieve mutually defined goals
  • Complete advanced and complicated tasks requiring considerable judgment, problem resolution, and independent analysis

What we would like you to bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of automobile warehousing experience is desired.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a distribution environment
  • 1+ years of experience with leading and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Continuous Improvement
  • Knowledge of various production and quality systems i.e. SAP, Blue Yonder
  • Proficient in Word, Excel (maintain complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint
  • Forklift operator experience is a plus.
