As an Operational Care Expert - Sea Logistics (m/f/d), you will be responsible for coordinating Sea Logistics shipments from booking to financial closure, ensuring reliable, cost-effective, and timely delivery. You will support pricing and procurement activities, work closely with carriers and service providers, and maintain high standards of customer service, data quality, and financial accuracy.
How you create impact
- Coordinate Sea Logistics shipments from booking through delivery and financial closure, ensuring timely, compliant, and efficient execution.
- Manage bookings, documentation, milestones, allocations, equipment availability, and operational exceptions.
- Maintain accurate buying rates, surcharges, free-time conditions, and expected costs; request and compare spot rates, validate carrier quotations, and identify pricing discrepancies or unexpected cost increases.
- Support Pricing and Procurement with tender input, market intelligence, volume data, cost comparisons, and supplier-performance feedback.
- Build strong relationships with carriers, agents, terminals, and vendors to secure capacity, resolve issues, and improve service performance.
- Monitor carrier performance across booking response, schedule reliability, rollovers, documentation quality, and issue resolution.
- Ensure accurate billing and financial control through Gross Profit confirmation, cost validation, invoice quality checks, and dispute resolution.
- Use KPIs and operational insights to improve workflows, data quality, automation, carrier utilization, and customer service.
What we would like you to bring
- Experience in freight forwarding or supply chain management, ideally in Sea Logistics operations.
- Good knowledge of shipping processes, documentation, pricing, carrier buying conditions, capacity, equipment, and routings.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Commercial awareness, attention to detail, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
- Confidence using operational systems and performance data; experience with SeaLOG and Acon+ is an advantage.
- Fluency in Portuguese and advanced written and spoken English.
