As a Customs Specialist (m/f/d), you will support our Import and Export Forwarding teams by ensuring all customs requirements are completed accurately and on time. You will handle customs documentation and formalities for import, transit, and export shipments while ensuring compliance with legal and customer requirements. You will also advise forwarding teams on customs matters and maintain professional relationships with customs authorities.
How you create impact
- Prepare and follow up on import and export customs declarations accurately and on time.
- Prepare and manage declaration corrections when needed.
- Identify and resolve errors or unclear information together with the Import and Export teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal/external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Portuguese customs regulations and tariff requirements.
- Maintain high-quality data in operational systems and reporting files.
- Follow KN QSHE and Compliance guidelines and procedures.
- Follow existing SOPs and Work Instructions (WIs) and support the development of new procedures.
What we would like you to bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Customs Specialist in an internal or external customs environment.
- Strong knowledge of customs declaration processes and Incoterms.
- Experience with GIDWin (SINGEST) software is required.
- Advanced MS Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken.
