For our office in the vibrant heart of Rotterdam, we are looking for a dedicated Customer Care Specialist to join our Sea Logistics team. In this role, you will take ownership of your own customer portfolio, including strategic key accounts, and act as the main point of contact for all customer needs. Your mission is to ensure exceptional service quality, strengthen relationships, and deliver solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business success.  

How you create impact

  • Manage daily interactions with your customers and serve as their first point of contact for all inquiries
  • Qualify, monitor, and delegate customer orders to the Operational Care Centre for execution
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to continuously improve customer experience and implement necessary actions
  • Provide proactive solutions for delivery issues and offer consultancy on market developments and shipping conditions
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze data, and develop improvement measures; participate in QBR/MBR meetings with the customers
  • Request prices, prepare quotations, suggest new routes, and manage changes in shipping processes 

What we would like you to bring

  • Solid experience in a similar role in freight forwarding, ideally in sea logistics
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with resilience in challenging situations
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a strong advantage
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office and confidence in using digital tools

We work in a flexible working schedule whereas your private life- work balance is optimal, including the possibility to work via home office days. You will start with an annual contract, and if everyone is satisfied, resulting in a permanent employment afterwards. Kuehne + Nagel is a good and reliable company, therefor a VOG is requested at the start.
