Road Logistics Operations Specialist

You will be part of our Road Logistics team, adding your expertise + skills to the delivery of customer + operational excellence.

How you create impact

  • You will be responsible for ensuring top class operational efficiency, leading to an increase in revenue generation + profit margins. You will do this by collaborating with various key stakeholders while focusing on the following tasks.
  • To support in a structured roll out of our center of excellence for domestic + cross-border transport
    (wherever applicable), along with haulage activities on a central platform.
  • To review + align resource allocation across different business activities to provide optimum service levels.
  • To ensure the efficient execution + optimization of operational activities.
  • To assist in the development + implementation of operational + reporting systems, including transport
    management systems (TMS) + application of new software.
  • To manage + review operational policies, standards + procedures including integrating + implementing
    automation, technology + systems.
  • To review incident + crisis management processes, ensuring effective business continuity plans are in place.
  • To monitor the annual budget, initiating corrective actions in case of deviations.

What we would like you to bring

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in road logistics, transportation operations, or supply chain operations.
  • Exposure to domestic and/or cross‑border road transport operations, including coordination with customs brokers, carriers, and transport vendors.
  • Basic understanding of customs clearance and brokerage processes, transport documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS) or operational systems; ability to support data entry, reporting, and system updates.
  • Working knowledge of operational procedures (SOPs) and service‑level requirements within a logistics or 3PL environment.
  • Ability to support day‑to‑day operational execution, monitoring shipments, resolving basic operational issues, and escalating incidents when required.
  • Basic awareness of incident handling, exception management, and business continuity procedures.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to track operational KPIs and support performance reporting.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with internal teams, brokers, and external service providers.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, and eager to learn, with a strong operational and customer‑service mindset.
