Job Description
Road Logistics Account Manager

It's more than a job

With a sales career at Kuehne+Nagel, you'll drive long-term business success by mastering sales strategies, nurturing customer relationships and identifying new opportunities. But you will also bring relief and peace of mind to pet owners around the world. Because when you do your job, your colleagues around the world are able to build reliable veterinary supply chains that ensure pets get the care they need. At Kuehne+Nagel, our work is about more than we imagine.

At Kuehne+Nagel, logistics is more than moving freight, it’s about enabling businesses to operate reliably, efficiently, and competitively. As our Road Logistics Account Manager your work directly impacts how customers experience our North American truckload network every day.

In this role, you’ll sit at the crossroads of sales, operations, pricing, and customer service, managing end‑to‑end shipment execution while building trusted, long‑term customer relationships. From negotiating pricing strategies to resolving time‑critical service disruptions, your expertise ensures freight moves smoothly and customers feel supported at every step.

Our Truckload Brokerage team operates in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment where proactive communication, problem‑solving, and ownership matter. If you enjoy being accountable for results, building rapport, and finding solutions under pressure, this role offers the opportunity to make a real, visible impact.

How you create impact

  • Manage and grow an assigned book of business through proactive outreach, relationship management, and strategic account planning
  • Identify customer supply chain needs and position Kuehne+Nagel brokerage solutions that improve cost, service, and reliability
  • Negotiate both transactional and contractual truckload pricing while ensuring profitability
  • Monitor account performance, market conditions, and lane‑level pricing trends to optimize volume and margin
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales, operations, pricing, and carrier teams to deliver aligned solutions
  • Oversee the full shipment lifecycle including quoting, booking, tracking, issue resolution, and delivery confirmation
  • Ensure all freight moves are executed in compliance with customer SOPs, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
  • Resolve service disruptions and exceptions with urgency, professionalism, and a solutions‑focused mindset

What we would like you to bring

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics account management, brokerage sales, or truckload operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
  • Solid understanding of North American truckload market dynamics
  • Experience negotiating pricing and managing performance metrics (KPIs)
  • Strong multitasking and time‑management skills; comfortable managing dozens of active loads at once
  • Clear, professional communication skills with customers, carriers, and internal teams
  • Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and market tools such as DAT, Parade, or MacroPoint

This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
