QuickSTAT is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our Import, Export, and Warehouse operations at our JFK facility. In this highly visible leadership role, you will oversee daily operational excellence, guide cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance within a fast-paced, time-critical logistics environment supporting life sciences, biopharma, and other specialized shipments.
How you create impact
- Provide leadership and direction to Import, Export, and Warehouse Operations teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, SOPs, regulatory requirements, and QSHE standards.
- Drive customer satisfaction through consistent delivery of high-quality operational services.
- Develop, implement, and maintain operational procedures, training programs, and best practices.
- Lead and support internal and external audits, corrective actions, and compliance initiatives.
- Manage operational budgets and identify opportunities to improve profitability through cost-control measures.
- Oversee supplier relationships, contractor performance, and facility-related operational requirements.
- Monitor operational KPIs and present performance metrics and trend analysis to branch leadership.
- Champion health, safety, security, and environmental programs with a goal of maintaining a zero-incident workplace.
- Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Partner with global and regional stakeholders to support operational efficiency and business growth.
- Mentor and develop operational leaders while supporting succession planning and employee engagement initiatives.
What we would like you to bring
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, courier, or supply chain operations.
- Proven experience managing multiple operational departments and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of import, export, warehouse, and time-critical logistics operations.
- Experience supporting temperature-controlled, healthcare, pharmaceutical, biopharma, or specialized logistics solutions is highly desirable.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs, and operational performance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with facility management, supplier oversight, and operational compliance programs preferred.
- GDP Transportation Training, IATA Dangerous Goods Certification, and IOSH Managing Safely certifications are highly valued.

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
