The Network Systems Engineer is primarily responsible for driving forward our network and network security infrastructure. As an expert, you´ll implement the right technologies, which meet the company’s demands to be innovative and secure at the same time, whilst reporting to the Lead Network Systems Engineer.
How you create impact
- Evaluate, design, deploy, and manage network and network security solutions across the US and Canada.
- Ensure the integrity, availability and performance of our network infrastructure.
- Solve network trouble tickets and support vertical departments including IT Service Desk, Applications and Open Systems in the network.
- Drive forward standardization at a global scale to enable seamless integration, global support and infrastructure automation.
- Leverage automation for network solution and utilize infrastructure-as-a-code principle.
- Monitor the lifecycle management for network and network security solutions.
- Ensure network hardware, firmware and OS are compliant and updated.
- Collaborate with global colleagues and consult internal and external customers.
- Contribute to small to large-scale IT projects and support internal IT teams.
- Support site start-up network design and implementation.
- Provide LAN and WAN support for site locations.
- Actively participate in on-call rotations as needed.
- Respond to network outages through performing analysis, diagnosis and repair as needed.
- Maintain and monitor network infrastructure tools such as Grafana, Lanweeper, Cisco, vManage, Infoblox, Centreon Aruba Central, Clearpass and Zscaler.
- Create, manage and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
What we would like you to bring
- 5+ years experience in managing large scale enterprise networks with in-depth knowledge of network transport protocols including encryption required.
- Hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, SDWAN and network security technologies including WiFi technologies required.
- Experience with Cisco SD-WAN Routers and WAN Appliance, and Aruba Networks (preferred).
- Experienced in scripting and automation, and ITIL.
- Ability to interface with and coordinate WAN vendors.
- Self-motivated to work autonomously and exercise independent judgement.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to the details.
- Prioritization skills to execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative, team-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer-service orientation.
- Fully onsite from our Naugatuck office.

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
