Are you an experienced Sea Logistics leader with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for driving growth, operational excellence and exceptional customer experiences?

We are looking for a National Sea Logistics Manager to lead our Sea Logistics business across Ireland.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping and executing the national strategy, delivering sustainable commercial and financial performance, and building a high-performing organisation.Working closely with Country, Regional and Global leadership, as well as customers, carriers and key industry partners, you will play a central role in strengthening Kuehne+Nagel’s position in the Irish Sea Logistics market. You’ll have the opportunity to lead transformation, develop talent and shape the future of our Sea Logistics organisation. 

How you create impact

• Develop and execute the national Sea Logistics strategy, aligned with country, regional and global objectives.
• Take full P&L responsibility, driving revenue, gross profit, EBIT, productivity and cost-management initiatives.
• Identify new business opportunities, increase market share and strengthen relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
• Lead and develop a high-performing Sea Logistics management team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement.
• Drive operational excellence across the national organisation, improving productivity, service quality, standardisation and profitability.
• Champion customer excellence by monitoring service performance and NPS, strengthening customer retention and acting as a senior escalation point when required.
• Lead digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging technology, automation, data and best-practice methodologies.
• Ensure strong governance, compliance, risk management and sustainability practices across the Sea Logistics organisation while contributing to wider country strategy and transformation. 

What we would like you to bring

• Significant leadership experience within Sea Logistics, freight forwarding or international supply chain management, with a strong understanding of the ocean freight market.
• A proven track record of delivering commercial growth, operational excellence and strong financial results, including experience with P&L ownership.
• Experience leading sizeable teams across multiple functions, branches or locations, with a genuine passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships and influence business growth.
• Excellent knowledge of international Sea Freight operations, supply chain management, customs, trade compliance and transportation regulations.
• Strong analytical and financial capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, performance management and data-driven decision-making.
• Demonstrated experience leading organisational change, digital transformation and continuous improvement programmes.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to engage effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
