National Road Logistics Business Development Manager

This role is fully focused on new business acquisition and requires a solution-oriented commercial professional capable of engaging corporate-level stakeholders and developing customized road logistics solutions. You will drive market penetration across key verticals, collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, and contribute significantly to the expansion of Kuehne+Nagel’s national road logistics footprint.

How you create impact

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across Indonesia’s domestic and global market.
  • Engage and present to corporate decision-makers and global account stakeholders.
  • Develop tailor-made road logistics solutions to meet diverse customer needs.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline aligned with KN’s national growth targets.
  • Lead tender proposals, presentations, and pricing discussions by working closely with.
  • Drive creative and ecosystem-based solutions to differentiate KN in the Indonesian market.
  • Conduct market intelligence to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential strategic shifts.
  • Represent KN in customer visits, site tours, or executive presentations as required.
  • Develop strong professional relationships with customers, industry networks, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate CRM entries, pipeline tracking, and forecast updates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality onboarding and operational handover for newly acquired accounts. 

What we would like you to bring

  • Minimum 8–10 years of Business Development experience in Freight forwarding or Road logistics
  • Proven success in winning new business from corporate-level clients.
  • Exposure to global accounts and collaboration with GKAMs is a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong commercial acumen with a proactive hunting mindset.
  • Ability to design customized road logistics solutions. 
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and solution-focused.
  • Able to work independently and travel domestically (and occasionally overseas).
