How you create impact
- Lead, motivate, and support a diverse team of transport and operational colleagues.
- Coordinate daily scheduling, dispatch activities, and resource allocation to ensure reliable and timely deliveries.
- Monitor transport operations and proactively resolve delays, deviations, and other operational challenges.
- Use Transportation Management Systems, real-time tracking solutions, and forecasting tools to optimize routes and resources.
- Analyse customer forecasts and translate the information into actionable transport plans.
- Track operational KPIs, prepare reports, and present performance insights and recommendations to management.
- Collaborate with customers, carriers, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, streamline operations, and reduce costs.
What we would like you to bring
- Three to five years of experience in transport operations or logistics, ideally in a team-leading or supervisory position.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse operational team.
- Practical experience in scheduling, dispatch, route planning, and transport resource allocation.
- Confidence in working with Transportation Management Systems and other logistics or tracking solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret forecasts, operational data, and performance indicators.
- A structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented approach, even when managing multiple priorities under pressure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, both written and verbal.
- A degree in logistics, transportation, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
