This Business Development Specialist plays a key role in supporting strategic growth initiatives across Kuehne+Nagel Japan's Contract Logistics business.
Based in our Toyocho office, this role will support business development activities across key verticals by coordinating customer engagement initiatives, preparing commercial proposals, managing market intelligence, and supporting the execution of annual business development plans.
This opportunity is well suited to a commercially minded logistics professionalwho enjoys stakeholder engagement, market analysis, and supporting strategic customer growth initiatives within a fast-paced international enviroment.
How you create impact
- Assist in driving and executing annual business development plans across designated industry verticals.
- Collaborate closely with operations, solution design, regional stakeholders to support customer opportunities.
- Support the management of pipeline opportunities while ensuring compliance throughout the full customer engagement cycle.
- Lead the preparation of high-quaity business proposals, presentations, and customer materials.
- Maintain strong communication and relationship management with both internal and external stakeholders.
What we would like you to bring
- At least 5 years of experience in sales or business development in a 3PL/Logistics enviroment.
- Experience within Contract Logistics, warehousing, or supply chain solutions. A combination of this and freight experience would be a plus.
- Strong understanding of logistic industry verticals such as consumer goods, healthcare, and high-tech.
- Strong commercial awareness with solid financial and pricing understanding.
- Strong presentation, reporting and proposal preparation capabilities.
- Bilingual communication skills in both Japanese and English
