Contract Logistics Transport Planning Specialist

The Transportation Specialist will ensure highest quality customer service through meeting clients transportation needs while adhering to the clients, Health Canada, and GMP requirements and guidelines.

How you create impact

- Ensure transportation moves are performed according to the clients requirements and in compliance with Health Canada

- Compliance with Kuehne+Nagel's QSHE requirements

- Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines for drugs and health products

- Manage shipment routing - Manage shipping options by mode and transit

- Carrier coordination and monitoring

- Shipment Confirmation: ensure all deliveries take place within the transit requirements, where required provide POD's

- Manage shipment discrepancies, including root cause analysis

- Coordinate between the client and carrier to secure and execute returns 

- Maintenance of working instructions (WI's) and standard operating procedures (SOP's) for account processes

- Ensure data integrity into the Transportation Management Style (TMS) and Sharepoint

- Support flexible work coverage

- Accurate and timely processing of client billing and carrier payment

- Key Performance Indicators: data collection and analysis

- Other duties assigned within the department from time to time

- Know and adhere to GXP guidelines and principles, WI's and SOP's

- Make sure that all GXP requirements are fulfilled by our subcontractors

- Report/ document all deviations and be compliant with the guidelines 

What we would like you to bring

3-5 years' relevant pharma experience, preferably in a Third Party Logistics (3PL) organization

3-5 years' operational experience in a freight forwarding or shipping role 

Health Canada requirements

Advance knowledge of GMP as it relates to the distribution of pharamceutical products 

Preferred College Diploma or University Degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or related

Ability to coordinate events for exception management

Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize competing demands

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and dental benefits, a retirement savings plan, and tuition reimbursement. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data. #LI-ONSITE
