How you create impact
The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for providing customer service excellence to our client base via the execution of work processes across the distribution centre designed to support efficient, safe and high quality workmanship. The RPIC / ARPIC will assist with transactions involving precursors as required (if applicable).
- Lead and participate in customer negotiations;
- Ensure proactive approach to relationship management;
- Participate in new business implementation project management;
- Participate in bids, tenders and RFPs;
- Ensure billing / invoicing accuracy;
- Promote integration of Contract Logistics and road/rail activities where applicable;
- Review forecasts monthly reflective of the current and future state of the business, take action to improve negative trends and report deviations to plan;
- Full accountability for the performance of direct reports;
- Set SMART goals and projects to achieve individual, distribution centre, and divisional results;
- Support employee engagement/retention initiatives, succession planning, and internal promotions within the Distribution Center;
- Collaborate with Senior Management to ensure efficient, standardized and ‘best in class’ logistics operations;
- Promote a culture of safety to ensure all reasonable precautions are taken for the protection of workers;
- Support local implementation of Kuehne+Nagell Production Systems Bronze, Silver and Gold (company production systems) certifications;
- Plan long range labor requirements based on sales forecasts and input from direct reports;
- Develop space utilization plans to meet prescribed cost and services standards;

What we would like you to bring
- BA degree in Business or Engineering
- 3+ years' experience working in a unionized warehouse environment
- 5+ years leadership experience in a 3PL environment
- 1+ years experience working with automations (Robotics/High Tech equipment)
- 2+ years experience in a customer facing role

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
