The Operational Care Expert is responsible for managing the coordination of shipments accurately and timely, meeting customer transit time requirements. You will be part of a team responsible for coordinating transport activities by executing the necessary bookings with our partners and gateways, generating the required documentation, and monitoring each shipment, including deviation handling.
How you create impact
- Manage and perform all operational activities reliably, accurately, and on time, minimising overdue tasks and meeting customer deliverables.
- Ensure effective communication with stakeholders by following established communication frameworks.
- Monitor shipments, resolve deviations, and provide timely updates in KN systems, including financial data such as costs.
- Review and clarify Customer Care location instructions to resolve conflicts with regulatory requirements, routing, transit times, or rate information.
- Report operational problems, disputes, or discrepancies promptly to supervisors or managers.
- Collaborate with partners, suppliers, gateway, warehouse, customs, Revenue Care, and external parties to ensure smooth operations and carrier performance.
- Drive process optimisation, automation, and profitability through cost management, continuous improvement initiatives, and support for account implementation with Sales and Customer Care teams.
What we would like you to bring
- Proven experience in Air Logistics operations, including shipment monitoring, deviation management, and timely system updates.
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes, regulatory compliance, and air cargo security standards.
- Skilled in data accuracy, financial cost tracking, and reporting to ensure visibility and reliable decision making.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams (sales, customer care, warehouse, customs) and external partners/carriers.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to escalate issues promptly.
- Commercial acumen with focus on cost optimization, profitability, and supporting account implementation for smooth transitions.
