As an Operations Manager, you will lead a team and have overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, staffing, safety, and performance of your shift. This is a 1st shift position, and we will count on your leadership and operational expertise to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the facility and equipment while overseeing receiving, storing, inventory control, sequencing, and timely delivery of product to the production area. You will work closely with the General Manager, Operations Supervisors, Shift Leaders, and customer to establish goals, plan labor needs, support production forecasts, optimize space utilization, maintain accurate inventory and product locator systems, and ensure production orders are picked, sequenced, and delivered on time. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote the safe and efficient use of material handling equipment, maintain a clean and organized facility, and support accurate and timely operational reporting. The right candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset and a tendency towards 5S in the workplace.

How you create impact

Establish long-range labor needs based on sales forecasts and input from management with the support of the General Manager.
Hire, Train and Develop Staff.
Make recommendations on programs to improve operations.
Oversee daily operations. Oversee inventory management and ensure levels are maintained.
Lead warehouse meetings/Town Hall / Quarterly Business Review
Collaborate with General Manager & Management team to establish goals
Lead the operations of the Warehouse Lead Personnel (Supervisors & Ops Managers) to achieve prescribed goals
Control and direct all transportation into and out of the warehouse to meet company standards
Support Production Department Managers to develop a smooth flow of inventory into the warehouse for both shipping and storage
To set up the standard training program for all levels of employees involved in the operations and to train them
Ensure compliance with all DC safety policies and procedures.

Establish partnership with assigned client. Help Achieve Business Goals.
Complete annual performance reviews. Ensure adherence to SOPs and KPIs.

What we would like you to bring

5+ years of management experience in warehousing
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management discipline or manufacturing
Successful record of accomplishment in leadership and supervising the work of team members
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement
Previous Operations leadership in a distribution or manufacturing environment
2+ years of WMS experience
3+ years experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment
