Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for logistics and building long-term customer relationships? We are looking for a Sea Logistics Business Development Manager to join our growing Sea Logistics team in Liverpool.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, growing existing customer accounts, and driving revenue growth across our ocean freight services. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in expanding our market presence while delivering tailored logistics solutions that create value for our customers.

How you create impact

  • Generate and secure new business opportunities across FCL and LCL ocean freight services.
  • Build and develop a profitable portfolio of customers through proactive business development activities.
  • Prepare, present, and negotiate tailored logistics solutions and commercial proposals.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of sea freight products, trade lanes, and market trends to support customer growth.
  • Collaborate with Trade Management and Customer Care teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and service delivery.
  • Monitor market activity, competitor offerings, and pricing trends to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Manage and maintain accurate customer information, pipeline activity, and sales performance through CRM systems.
  • Deliver against agreed sales targets, contributing to revenue growth, volume increases, and market share expansion.

What we would like you to bring

  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain solutions.
  • Strong track record of winning new business and developing customer relationships.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines, customer portfolios, and lead generation activities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to develop compelling customer value propositions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise activities and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital sales tools.
  • A resilient, self-motivated, and target-driven approach with a passion for delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
