Road Logistics Customer Care Supervisor - Bilingual

As the Customer Care Supervisor, Exports, you will oversee daily customer service operations while driving process efficiency across border operations, warehouse coordination, customs broker management, and financial controls. You will lead a team focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring seamless freight movement through the Laredo gateway into Mexico

How you create impact

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing customer care team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Manage customer escalations and maintain compliance with customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate with carriers, drayage providers, warehouses, customs brokers, and Mexico operations to ensure efficient cross-border freight movement.
  • Monitor and improve border crossing performance, minimizing delays and dwell times.
  • Oversee warehouse-related activities including inventory accuracy, shipment visibility, dock scheduling, freight security, and loading/unloading efficiency.
  • Support customs compliance by reviewing export documentation, commercial invoices, packing lists, tariff classifications, and broker requirements.
  • Monitor customs broker performance and support audits, corrective actions, and compliance initiatives.
  • Analyze operational KPIs and customer scorecards to drive service improvements and profitability.
  • Ensure billing accuracy, oversee customer invoicing, monitor accounts receivable exposure, review payable balances, and support financial reconciliation processes.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and customer retention.

What we would like you to bring

  • Bachelors Degree in a field like international business, supply chain management, or international relations
  • 5+years of experience within logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or cross-border supply chain operations.
  • 2+years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Strong knowledge of U.S.-Mexico customs compliance and border operations.
  • Experience working with customs brokers, bonded freight, export documentation, and cross-border transportation processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application (Excel & Outlook)
