Sea Logistics Operational Key Account Manager

You will be part of our Operational Key Account Team and drive Operational Excellence + Process Improvements to maximize satisfaction of our Key Customers. 

How you create impact

The Operational Key Account Manager is responisble for establishing and maintaining customer relationships, clarifying and formalizing operational requirements, and increasing customer satisfaction through tailored solutions. Internally, it includes acting as a liaison for customer needs, supporting compliance and RFQ processes, and managing customer information and rate cards. Additionally, the role focuses on KPI management, continuous improvement, and facilitating business reviews and ad hoc projects.

What we would like you to bring

  • Serve as the primary customer contact and escalation point, building strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Understand, negotiate, and formalize customer operational requirements, service expectations, and KPIs.
  • Act as the customer's advocate within the organization, aligning internal teams with customer needs and priorities.
  • Lead customer onboarding, implementations, and strategic projects while acting as a subject matter expert on operational capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain customer operating procedures (MOPs/SOPs), system setups, EDI integrations, and master data.
  • Identify operational risks, drive issue resolution, and ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  • Monitor operational performance through KPI measurement, reporting, and business reviews.
  • Analyze root causes of service failures and drive continuous improvement, process optimization, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Design and implement customer-specific solutions that improve service quality, efficiency, and customer loyalty.
  • Support commercial activities including RFQs, pricing analysis, rate management, solution design, and implementation of awarded business.
