How you create impact
The Internal Customs Specialist is responsible for handling customs operations for clients whose transportation is managed by our business units. Acting as an internal service provider, this role ensures efficient and compliant execution of customs declarations and clearances. The Internal Customs Specialist plays a key role in supporting operational excellence, identifying process improvements, and ensuring that the customs services provided meet the high standards expected by our business units, contributing to overall customer satisfaction.
What we would like you to bring
- Manage and coordinate customs process end to end, working closely with internal sakeholders, logistics providers to ensure smooth operations and quick resolutions to any issues that may arise.
- Ensuring highest productivity levels tasked with actively driving continuous improvement programs for benefiting internal BU’s and customers
- Act as the primary point of contact for the team, providing guidance, support, and resolving any queries or operational challenges that arise.
- Operational Oversight by ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day customs operations, maintaining high levels of service quality and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence by motivating the team to achieve performance targets and adhere to agreed quality standards and KPIs.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and performance within the customs team.
- Collaborate with the operations manager to develop and implement process improvements, ensuring the operation remains competitive and effective.
- Provide feedback to national customs operational manager regarding any recurring issues that impact service quality or customer relationships.
- Work closely with sales and account management to address customer concerns and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Provide regular feedback internal stakeholders regarding any recurring issues that could impact service quality or customer relationships.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that customs services are aligned with the needs and expectations of our business units.
