Are you experienced in road logistics and keen to work in a highly regulated, customer-focused environment? As a Road Logistics Planner Healthcare, you will play a key role in coordinating road freight solutions for our healthcare customers, covering import, export, cross-trade and domestic distribution.

You will work closely with customers, approved hauliers and colleagues across our Healthcare network to ensure shipments are planned and executed efficiently, safely and in line with customer requirements, SOPs and GDP standards. Your focus will be on delivering operational excellence while building strong relationships and continuously improving our service.

• Plan and coordinate healthcare road freight shipments from end to end, including collections, deliveries, groupage movements, ferry bookings and load planning.
• Monitor shipments closely, proactively addressing deviations and providing timely updates and alternative solutions where required.
• Ensure all healthcare movements comply with customer SOPs, GDP requirements, quality standards and relevant Kuehne+Nagel healthcare guidelines.
• Request and negotiate competitive rates with approved hauliers for spot and set-lane quotations, balancing service quality, compliance and cost.
• Coordinate customs requirements for import and export shipments and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
• Build strong relationships with healthcare customers, approved hauliers and internal teams, including Customer Service, Sales, Finance and the wider Healthcare network.
• Support the onboarding and implementation of new healthcare customers, including the preparation of SOPs and work instructions.
• Monitor supplier performance, investigate deviations and support continuous improvement through KPI management, CAPA and other quality processes.

• Experience in road freight, transport planning or a similar logistics operations environment.
• A good understanding of import, export and domestic road freight processes.
• Knowledge of healthcare or pharmaceutical logistics, including GDP requirements, would be highly advantageous.
• Experience working with hauliers and negotiating transport rates and solutions.
• An understanding of customs processes and documentation requirements for import and export shipments.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a strong customer-service mindset.
• A quality-focused and proactive approach, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
