The Road Logistics Dispatching & Groupage Specialist is responsible for the efficient coordination and execution of dispatching and groupage activities within the European road transport network. This role focuses on optimizing import and export flows, managing daily operations, and ensuring a high level of customer service. Through strong operational control and smooth collaboration with planning teams, carriers and internal stakeholders, the specialist helps maintain the stability and competitiveness of our Road Logistics operations — making a tangible impact on Kuehne+Nagel’s overall success.
How you create impact
- Coordinate and optimize daily dispatching and groupage operations across Europe while ensuring smooth cargo flow and timely execution for import and export shipments
- Manage transport activities with a focus on cost‑efficiency, service quality and on‑time performance, proactively resolving operational issues and escalations
- Support cross‑dock activities and monitor network flows to maintain transparency, accuracy and seamless handovers
- Identify improvement opportunities and streamline internal processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times and support best‑practice implementation
- Maintain strong communication with customers, carriers and internal stakeholders while ensuring proactive updates and solution‑driven handling of challenges
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation, customs requirements and internal standards; and ensure accurate and timely documentation
What we would like you to bring
- A logistics‑related degree or equivalent experience, paired with first experience in Groupage, Dispatching or Customer Service, ideally within Road Transport
- Knowledge of European transport legislation and customs procedures, or the motivation to quickly learn these topics
- Fluency in Dutch and English; French is an advantage
- Strong coordination, communication and stakeholder‑management skills
- An analytical, solution‑oriented mindset with a strong customer focus
