At Kuehne+Nagel, the role of KN GS Site Manager places you at the forefront of one of our most strategic and fast-growing GS locations. Based at the Atrina Center in Thessaloniki, KN GS SKG has evolved into a major multifunctional hub supporting Air Logistics, Sea Logistics, Customs and GIT, with more than +550 FTEs and increasing organizational complexity. As the site transitions into a standalone legal entity, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring operational consistency, strategic alignment and sustainable growth across all BU/FU activities.
How you create impact
As the KN GS Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading, aligning and strengthening the strategic, operational and administrative performance of the GS organization at a national level. In this role, you will:
- Drive the continuous improvement of the KNX (customer and employee experience) and lead the implementation of KNX initiatives.
- Support the successful delivery of BU/FU offshoring plans, fostering strong collaboration between GPOs, BU/FU operations and country teams.
- Ensure operational consistency by aligning BU/FU units to create a collaborative environment that enables sustainable growth.
- Oversee the general, administrative management of the country organization, including ensuring full understanding and adherence to relevant local legislation.
- Represent the company legally and publicly, ensuring full compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Lead the KN GS site leadership team through coaching, target setting, performance management and cross-functional alignment.
- Act as a key escalation point for stakeholders within a global matrix environment, ensuring smooth collaboration and decision-making.
- Contribute actively to financial target and forecast discussions, ensuring alignment with BU/FU strategic directions.
- Implement and localize global strategy, while developing BU/FU specific approaches to support GS transformation and operational excellence.
What we would like you to bring
- 10+ years of leadership experience (leading leaders).
- 3 - 5 years P&L ownership.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
- Strong BU/FU stakeholder management within a matrix organization.
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- High business acumen and financial analytical capability.
- Ability to build and develop high performing teams.
- Proven ability to drive cross functional alignment and organizational change.
- Excellent command of Greek and English as working languages.
