KC Finance Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a key role in supporting daily financial operations to optimize cash flow and reduce overdue balances. The main goal is to help mitigate business risks by following structured procedures that support both current performance and future growth.

How you create impact

  • Manage the Accounts Receivable portfolio and ensure compliance with AR policies
  • Coordinate communication with Branch Managers, Department Managers, Controllers, and Working Capital Managers
  • Handle daily communication with external customers via calls and emails
  • Collaborate with Credit Risk and Credit Control teams for credit limit escalations
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain accurate accounting records
  • Perform general accounting tasks to support credit goals and sound bookkeeping
  • Analyze and report on AR performance regularly
  • Resolve issues such as invoice disputes and support account reconciliation
  • Promote a positive and energetic team environment
  • Ensure adherence to internal working instructions, follow-ups, and timelines
  • Assist management with business health insights (e.g., Statements of Account)
  • Work closely with branch and billing teams to identify and resolve root causes of issues

What we would like you to bring

  • Fluency in English ( written and spoken )
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Collection department within Accounts Receivable
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Administration or Finance
  • Strong customer-oriented mindset 
  • High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables required)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain structured workflows
  • Organized, hands-on, and a collaborative team player
  • Strong personal drive and creative problem-solving mindset
  • Self-starter with the ability to follow tasks through from start to finish
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
