How you create impact
• Lead the dispatch employees.
• Help handle all related dispatch activities as needed, i.e. training, problem jobs, etc.
• Dispatch all jobs to fleet of drivers quickly and accurately ensuring dispatcher/driver communications.
• Properly manage and coordinate driver availability as work dictates.
• Work closely with drivers (this includes assigning new jobs, obtaining POD’s, charges and handling any pick up or airline problems).
• Communicate with Control Towers,airlines and vendors with status updates as required.
• Work closely with Control Towers (this includes checking routings, coordinating pick-ups and deliveries and assisting with any problems).
• Responsible for shipping/receiving duties when applicable.
• Document and escalate all problems/situations as per company policy and procedures.
• Report vehicle accidents/driver incidents promply to the Manager.
• Help schedule and manage staff & vehicle repairs and equipment.
What we would like you to bring
• 3+ years of industry experience with a focus on healthcare air freight shipping required.
• 3+ years of group leadership skills required.
• 3+ Customer Service experience required.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods/Restricted Article Regulations preferred.
• BA/BS in a related field.
• Flexible schedule - Tuesday - Friday (5.00 AM - 1.00 PM) and Saturday (9.00 AM - 5.00 PM).

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
