As National Project Logistics Marine Manager, you will lead marine operations across project logistics activities in Indonesia, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution. You will provide marine expertise across vessel and barge operations, terminal activities, vessel assurance, and marine safety, while working closely with clients, project teams, and key stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
How you create impact
- Provide overall marine leadership for national project logistics activities, ensuring vessel, terminal, and marine operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.
- Lead vessel assurance, berthing, terminal handling, and marine interface activities, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with applicable standards.
- Oversee project vessel and barge operations, coordinating marine activities to deliver complex project cargo safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Provide expert oversight of vessel positioning, mooring, and marine operations, ensuring appropriate practices, procedures, and standards are consistently applied.
- Lead marine emergency preparedness and response, including oil spill prevention and response plans, ensuring project teams are prepared to manage marine-related risks and incidents.
- Ensure marine operations comply with STCW, ISM Code, international maritime regulations, and relevant local requirements.
- Act as the senior marine point of contact for clients, authorities, contractors, and internal stakeholders, building confidence and ensuring marine requirements and safety expectations are fully addressed.
- Identify marine operational risks, provide technical guidance, and drive continuous improvement across project sites and marine activities.
What we would like you to bring
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
- Mandatory: Class 1 Master Certificate of Competence (Unlimited).
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in marine operations, ideally within the oil & gas, energy, infrastructure, or project logistics environment.
- Proven experience leading complex marine operations involving vessels, barges, terminals, and project cargo.
- Experience in LNG terminal operations, marine construction, or large-scale energy projects is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead marine activities, manage operational risks, and engage confidently with clients and senior stakeholders.
Certifications & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of STCW, ISM Code, international maritime regulations, vessel vetting, mooring practices, and marine emergency preparedness.
- OPITO BOSIET is preferred.
- K3 MIGAS Supervisor-Level Certificate issued by PPSDM MIGAS is preferred.
Leadership & Communication
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear technical guidance and influence across multiple stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
- Willing and able to travel to project sites as required.
