As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. Reporting to a Manager, you will have general responsibility for coordinating and supervising daily logistics activities to ensure the full and efficient operation of your assigned area.
How you create impact
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.
- Ensure that the work schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
- Conduct analytical investigations to determine the root cause to properly dispose of discrepancies.
- Create and work grief notifications for discrepancies through SAP and WARP workflows.
- Assist in providing cross-functional support to client Finance, Logistics Agents, Configuration Management, Customer Service, and Quality departments with inventory-related issues such as cycle counts, ad-hoc audits, pick exceptions, grief notifications, RTS, QC2 movements, and PNQs.
- Reconcile inventory-related issues such as SN changes, adjustments, batch issues, block stock, PO/MRA reversals, mismatches, stuck queues, and QuickBase claims.
- Resolve inventory-related issues for client depots and service centers, such as parts in transit, virtual MRAs, and depot critical issue reports.
- Update COMMIT and communicate with client Customer Service regarding AOGs and other urgent orders.
- Document root causes through KNPS and work with required groups to implement process improvements.
- Assist with the development and implementation of department training material.
- Assist other employees in the performance of their duties as required.
- Resolve outbound/consolidation grief issues as necessary.
- Participate in audits and reporting of results.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Conduct operations per OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Adhere to Kuehne + Nagel’s Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment Program policies and procedures.
