As an Insurance Specialist (m/f/d), you will manage Group Health Insurance policies as well as claims and recovery processes across multiple insurance lines, with a particular focus on Marine Cargo, Transport, and Logistics risks. You will work closely with clients, insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure policies and claims are managed efficiently, accurately, and in line with company standards.
How you create impact
- Manage Group Health Insurance policies, including employee enrollments, terminations, policy amendments, beneficiary updates, and related administration.
- Act as the main contact for clients, insured members, and insurance carriers regarding health policy administration and coverage questions.
- Manage the full claims lifecycle, from initial notification through investigation and resolution, ensuring claims are handled efficiently and within agreed timelines.
- Handle claims across multiple insurance lines, with a particular focus on Marine Cargo, Transport, and Logistics risks.
- Assess, investigate, negotiate, and resolve claims fairly and effectively; prepare accurate settlements with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Identify and pursue recovery opportunities, ensuring all potential recoveries are properly managed.
- Coordinate with insurers, loss adjusters, surveyors, legal advisors, and other stakeholders involved in the claims process.
- Provide professional and responsive support to internal and external customers; maintain accurate records and high-quality data while ensuring compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and information security standards.
What we would like you to bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Insurance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in insurance administration, policy servicing, and/or claims management.
- Experience managing Group Health Insurance policies (including enrollments, cancellations, amendments, and customer support) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in Marine Cargo, Logistics, or Transportation Insurance is highly valued.
- Good understanding of multiple insurance lines, including Health, Marine Cargo, Liability, Property, and Accident insurance.
- Strong written and verbal communication, influencing, negotiation, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, integrity, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance policy and claims management systems.
- Fluent in English; Spanish is an advantage.
