Human Resources Business Partner Specialist - Road Logistics (APAC)

The HR Business Partner Specialist provides data-driven insights and talent strategies to support organizational performance and growth. The role partners with business leaders and HR Centers of Excellence to align HR initiatives with business goals, leveraging analytics, workforce planning, and modern HR practices to build future-ready capabilities.

How you create impact

Operational / Tactical duties

  • Analyze workforce data (turnover, engagement, hiring trends) to generate actionable insights. 
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor organizational health and effectiveness. 
  • Support execution of HR programs such as performance management, talent reviews, and engagement initiatives. 
  • Partner with Compensation COE on salary benchmarking, pay analysis, and annual compensation cycles. 
  • Utilize HR systems, analytics tools, and AI-enabled technologies to enhance reporting and efficiency. 

Leadership Responsibility 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing data-driven recommendations. 
  • Support talent management processes including succession planning and leadership development. 
  • Identify high-potential talent and drive development strategies. 
  • Enable leaders in managing change and improving team effectiveness. 
  • Influence decision-making through insights, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement. 

Financial Responsibility 

  • Support workforce planning by aligning talent investments with business priorities. 
  • Contribute to compensation planning (merit increases, bonuses) using analytics. 
  • Monitor ROI of talent initiatives and recommend optimization actions. 
  • Identify cost efficiencies through workforce analytics and process improvements 

Strategic Responsibility 

  • Translate business priorities into scalable HR and talent strategies. 
  • Drive workforce planning, organizational design, and capability building. 
  • Leverage predictive analytics to forecast talent needs and risks. 
  • Support transformation initiatives and organizational change management. 
  • Promote adoption of digital HR tools and AI-enabled practices responsibly. 

What we would like you to bring

  • Experience supporting business leaders as an HR Business Partner in a hands-on, execution-focused environment.
  • Ability to hit the ground running and confidently manage day-to-day HRBP responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Good understanding of Malaysian labour laws and practical application of employment legislation.
  • Experience in employee relations, performance management, talent reviews and implementation of HR initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide balanced, data-driven recommendations.
  • Proactive and self-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership; able to identify opportunities and take initiative without waiting for direction.
  • High energy, eagerness to learn and willingness to continuously develop within the HRBP function.
  • Comfortable leveraging HR systems, workforce data and analytics to support business decisions.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while supporting business growth and change initiatives.
